Why study here
If you are looking for a vibrant, technology-driven and multicultural university, Rivers State University is the place for you. Our range of undergraduate courses has been designed with your career aspirations in mind.
The University has an enviable reputation for providing quality, student-focused education in the warm and friendly environment that makes us special. Our mission is to be a powerful force for learning, creativity and enterprise, promoting economic, social and cultural well-being.
Part-time study
Part-time courses offer flexibility to students who may need to work while they study or who have family commitments. Part-time students account for almost a third of our student population.
Part-time courses are studied over a longer period than their full-time equivalents, but students spend fewer hours each week in a classroom. Courses may involve day release, day and evening study, or evening-only study.
Information about these options is available from the relevant faculty or programme page. General entrance requirements are the same for full- and part-time study, although application procedures and financial information differ.
About the alumni
Rivers State University Alumni Association keeps you connected to the University after you leave. Membership is free and open to all former students and staff of the University and its predecessor institutions.
The Alumni Association was established in 2004 and now has over 32,000 members worldwide. It supports former students and staff by celebrating their achievements and keeping them connected to the University, its students and fellow alumni.
